When you submit the early access form on our website, we collect the following information:

• Full name - to personalise your experience
• Email address - to notify you when we launch and send your offer details
• Phone number - for launch-day communication if needed
• Area in Kaduna - to confirm delivery coverage for your location
• Sign-up type - whether you signed up as a Customer, Restaurant Partner, or Delivery Rider

We also collect standard technical data automatically when you visit our site, including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This is standard practice for all websites.

3. Why We Collect It

We collect your data for the following reasons only:

• To confirm your place on the ChowSpot early access waitlist
• To send you a confirmation of your registration and offer details
• To notify you when ChowSpot launches in your area
• To communicate relevant updates about your sign-up type (Customer, Restaurant, or Rider)
• To understand which areas of Kaduna South have the highest demand

We will never use your data to send you irrelevant marketing, and we will never sell your information to third parties.

4. Who We Share Your Data With

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate our waitlist. These are:

• Formspree (formspree.io) - processes and stores your form submissions securely
• Brevo (brevo.com) - our email marketing platform, used to send confirmation and launch emails
• Netlify (netlify.com) - hosts our website

Each of these services has their own privacy policies and data protection standards. We do not share your data with any other parties.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your data for as long as it is needed to deliver the service you signed up for. Specifically:

• Early access registrations are kept until 90 days after our launch date
• After that period, data is deleted from all our systems unless you have created an active account with ChowSpot
• You can request deletion of your data at any time - see Section 7 below

6. How We Protect Your Data

Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers provided by our third-party service providers. We do not store credit card information or sensitive financial data at this stage - the website is a pre-launch waitlist only.

Access to your data is restricted to the ChowSpot founding team and is not accessible to external parties.

7. Your Rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA), you have the following rights:

• Right to access - you can request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Right to correction - you can ask us to correct any inaccurate information
• Right to deletion - you can ask us to delete all data we hold about you at any time
• Right to withdraw consent - you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send

To exercise any of these rights, email us at admin@getchowspot.com with the subject line "Data Request". We will respond within 7 business days.

8. Cookies

Our website uses minimal cookies - only those necessary to make the site function properly. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels at this stage. If this changes, we will update this policy and notify you.

9. Children's Privacy

ChowSpot is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, please contact us at admin@getchowspot.com and we will delete it immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time - particularly as ChowSpot grows from a pre-launch waitlist into a full delivery platform. When we make significant changes, we will notify early access members by email.

The date at the top of this page always reflects when the policy was last updated.
